Take the forms to your local court for filing. Remember to take the filing fee or the application to waiver the fee.
Once the court has conformed the divorce forms, you must serve the Petition on your spouse.
The respondent must sign the Waiver Of service within 20 days to show they have received legal notice and agree the terms of your Petition.
The Waiver is filed for 10 days.
You must attend a brief court hearing and take your Final Decree and Marital Settlement Agreeent to be signed by the judge.
If the judge approves your divorce Petition, your Decree will be issued no less than 61 days from the date you filed your original Petition.
